Simplex Pow'r-Riser II Hydraulic

Pow'R-Riser

Simplex, a world leader in hydraulic and mechanical equipment, announced that it has redesigned its Pow'r-Riser® line of portable jacks, improving maneuverability, safety, and lifting power. The new Pow'r-Riser II jacks are ideal for use in railroad car shops, mining operations, and for off-road equipment maintenance.

"The Pow'r-Riser has been the industry benchmark for more than a decade," noted Tom Danza, President, Simplex. "As evidence of our continuing commitment to our customers, we have added second generation features that not only advance the state of hydraulic technology, but that make the jack easier and safer to operate."

Simplex is offering its Pow'r Riser II line in 12 separate models from a 60-ton, 24-inch height jack to a 150-ton, 37-inch height jack. Lifting capacities range from 50 to 150 tons with a choice of either air or electric power. For enhanced functionality, stroke length has been increased to 16-inches on the 26-inch model, and to 26-inches for the 37 inch. Air pendant control is standard on the 150 ton version.

Advanced features of the Pow'r-Riser II allow it to accommodate virtually every type of railcar, as well as off-road haulers, front-end loaders and other kinds of heavy off-road equipment. The absence of any exposed fittings or hoses, combined with a rugged, fully enclosed frame qualifies the Pow'r-Riser II as the safest jack available for demanding applications.

Simplex engineers took an ergonomic approach to redesigning the longer, two-position handle. A Simplex exclusive, the handle articulates in the middle to reduce the jack profile, while helping make the job of pushing and positioning easier.

To minimize blocking, Simplex is offering the Pow'r-Riser II with optional drop-in extensions. This allows the operator to position the jack, and then extend the minimum height incrementally up to 12-inches. Once raised, a new locking ring acts as a built-in jack stand that mechanically locks the load into place. Simplex is also making available an attachable toe lift for lifting points below 26-inches.
